Religious, hurt and hopeful

In an ongoing effort to bring awareness of this situation Ynet, Israel's foremost English Language On-line News source has recently published an article on the issue of domestic violence within the religious community.  This
article does more than highlight the problem; it also allows us to understand how difficult it is for these women to escape their nightmare. After their time in the shelter these women are generally on their own, with small children in tow, and must begin to establish themselves anew. Funding is urgently needed to help cover all aspects of Bat Melech's operations, from intake, legal aid, child care, transitional housing and more.  Please click on donate now in order to contribute.  Contributions are tax deductible both in Israel and abroad.

Bat Melech is proud to share two articles that were recently published about us.

YNet, a nationally published newspaper and the most popular online news-site in Israel, published an article providing an overview about Bat Melech, explaining how domestic violence affects every sector of society - including charedim, and describing how Bat Melech is addressing the problem.  Click here to read an English translation of the article.

The article in H'Shabat Tzohar, a leaflet distributed in synagogues throughout Israel, is written by the Executive Director of Bat Melech, and provides tools for identifying signs of future violence while shiduch dating (dating for marriage).
