How can you help? We’re glad you asked!
Initiating social change has never been an overnight process—especially when it has to do with domestic abuse. The support of compassionate individuals enables Bat Melech to continue its life saving mission to help Israeli women and children suffering from domestic abuse to return to lives of dignity, productivity and self-respect.
Host a Parlor Meeting – Invite Bat Melech to your community! We will provide a speaker, film and event content. We ask that you open your home and invite community members in to learn more about our work.
The Adopt a Family Program – Many women and children who stay at Bet Melech shelters are impoverished upon entering the shelter, and are often much worse off financially upon leaving. By “adopting” a family and offering them ongoing support, you will directly impact and improve their lives. If you’re interested in supporting this work, contact Bat Melech at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org.
Donate – Though our shelters are operated in conjunction with the Israeli Ministry of Welfare, government support only covers 60% of our costs, with no funds allocated for expanding the shelters to accommodate demand. Donations to Bat Melech are fully tax-deductible in the U.S., Canada, England and Israel. Please consider making a generous financial contribution today.
Spread the Word – Are you a journalist or a writer? Are you a rabbi or Jewish educator? Are you savvy with social media? We are looking for individuals to spread the word about our work, write articles on Bat Melech for your local newspapers and spread the word about our work! Don’t forget to Like Bat Melech on Facebook, and share the page with friends!
Volunteer – Are you in Israel? We are always looking for volunteers to help in the office, offer therapeutic programming for the women, and collect like-new items for the shelters. Please contact us for details!
